The BBC has come under increasing criticism over its Brexit coverage.

A spokeswoman denies the criticism by saying, “The BBC takes impartiality incredibly seriously and we are covering Brexit developments in depth by examining all the perspectives and arguments. We have a wide range of voices on air and will continue to do so.”
“incredibly” – Why not simply say “The BBC takes impartiality seriously or very seriously “? This over-used word often suggests insincerity. Is the use of this word a superlative or a “Freudian slip”? The word “incredible” means unbelievable! The BBC should get its act together and play fair.

An article in some U.K. newspapers feature black and white images from world war one which have been artificially coloured.

The SUN says, “TRENCHES IN COLOUR Haunting new colourised World War 1 pics shine a new light on the horrors of war in the trenches”

The DAILY EXPRESS says, “PICTURES OF WW1 ARE PAINSTAKINGLY COLOURED TO BRING HORROR TO LIFE FOR A NEW GENERATION”

The DAILY MIRROR says, “Breathtaking photos from the end of World War One brought to life in colour for the first time”
“As Britain remembers those who lost their lives in the conflict, pictures from the end of the conflict have been painstakingly brought into the 21st Century”

The creator of the images says, “As they pass from living memory to just remember them as people and not just images in a book or old photographs in a museum is so important and colourisation brings these people into the modern day.”

There’s nothing colourful about dying in a trench for your country. This trivialises the sacrifices our soldiers made for our freedoms. It’s just a cynical exercise to make money.
