SHORT SIGHTED

There’s a report in the 9th of October edition of the “i” newspaper about a cricketer whose character was besmirched by an advert for spectacles. The advert implied that he may have tampered with his bat during the Ashes matches. I haven’t seen the advert but making financial gains at the expense of innocent people is never a good idea. The cricketer has accepted substantial damages from the company for this slurr on his character. Surely their lawyers should have seen this coming – they should have gone to Specsavers!
