All parties in this fast escalating situation should stand back and take stock. We had a long standing tradition in this country where everyone was presumed innocent until proven guilty. Over the years this has been replaced by “trial by mass media”. If there is proof of guilt let’s all see it. Stop the posturing and let the police continue their investigation unhampered.

Kirkby Lonsdale Coach Hire Ltd (Morecambe, England) have banned Pyethon (P.F. Bithell) from using their busses without any warning or explanation.

ROUGH JUSTICE?

A woman admits theft after taking an unattended clothes horse from a train which she believed had been abandoned – and now has a criminal record. This sad case illustrates how sometimes the judicial system can go wrong. Although by the letter of the law she committed an offence she hadn’t broke the spirit of the law. My advice to her is to try to get the conviction overturned.
