Two juvenile rooks were found on a mud track off Aynam road (Kendal, Cumbria.) yesterday morning. An area on the back of one was denuded of feathers. No other injuries were apparent. (A detailed examination could not be made.)

The birds were nesting in the rafters above and were okay in the afternoon (12:10).

November 14, 2013am: Workers in the NEAR FIELD excavating with a mechanical digger (Ram at RIGHT FENCE).
16:30 UT. Ram grazing – workers gone.
